Scented Candle Tins - Non-Toxic Coconut Wax - Aromática 8 oz

Nine of our most transportive scents, hand-poured into an 8oz tin. It's the easiest way into Aromática — and the easiest thing to hand to someone else.

Coconut wax, essential oils and clean fragrance, a cotton wick, and nothing else. No paraffin, no phthalates, no lead core. It fills a room without shouting about it, and burns for roughly 40 hours.

Each tin wears Bluecorn's layered mountain-range motif — an homage to the Western Slope of Colorado, where we live, work, play and pour candles.

The Nine Scents

Pumpkin: A re-wilded pumpkin spice, if you will. Starring a pumpkin-maple accord, we layered in a cornucopia of pure essential oils like ginger, cardamom, cassia and nutmeg to keep it real (delicious).

Ponderosa Pine: There's almost nothing more iconically southwestern Colorado than a gracefully gnarled, uncountably old, fabulously resinous Ponderosa Pine. This ode contains essential oils of Pine, Cypress and Fir Needle as well as a touch of Bergamot. We think it smells just like the real deal and hope you do, too.

The Woodsy: Bluecorn was founded by a ski bum who was seeking sweet-smelling light for his off-grid cabin. The Woodsy is a nostalgic shout-out to that origin story. It smells like sweet pine with a touch of citrus and musk (there's even a touch of balsamic for you gourmands). It's hard to describe! Suffice it to say, if you skied home to a cozy cabin, this scent would await you.

Arroyo: Someone on Amazon said this candle "smells like the epitome of a man" and frankly, they're right. Spicy and musky with a touch of amber, it's a debonair cowboy in a candle. If that happens to be your weakness, light 'em up.

Artemisa: A sophisticated blend of sage and bergamot with a touch of uplifting eucalyptus. This herbal delight was inspired by the sagebrush-covered foothills of Ridgway, Colorado (pop. 1k), where we had our factory for a decade before graduating to the big city of Montrose (pop. 50k).

Paloma: This grapefruit, prickly pear and rhubarb burst of joy was inspired by our beloved GM, Brittny, at the Bluecorn Cafe. If you can't make it out to Montrose to catch a bluegrass show and sip her killer take on the Paloma (affectionately named The Dove) then this is a pretty great alternative. Cheers!

Mountain Lilac: Colorado is covered in old lilac bushes and for many of us at Bluecorn they evoke some of our happiest and most treasured childhood memories. We smelled a million formulations in search of the one that smelled just like being a kid and, in our humble opinion, we found it. Lush but still earthy, purple to the core, it's summer in the high country incarnate.

White Lily: Simplicity can be sublime and that's certainly the case here. This clean, powdery floral is never cloying or basic (and won't drop a pound of pollen). Think spring anytime you need it, and a touch of romance too.

La Mesa: Inspired by our regional bread basket, the North Fork Valley, this scent combines basil, cannabis, fir and loam for a scent as fresh and green as a summer day in the kitchen garden.

Refill it, don't replace it

When the tin burns down, it isn't finished. Our Aromática refill kits arrive in fully home-compostable pouches — melt the wax, set the included wick, pour it back into the tin you already own. One kit holds enough wax for two slightly short pours into an 8oz tin.

Ingredients

Hand-poured coconut wax scented with essential oils and non-toxic fragrance. Cotton wick. Recyclable, refillable tin.

Care

• Trim the wick to 1/4" before every lighting.
• On the first burn, let the melted wax reach the edge of the tin before blowing it out. This is the single best thing you can do to prevent tunneling.
• Keep it out of drafts, and never leave a burning candle unattended.
• When it's spent, recycle the tin — or refill it.
