What makes a scented candle "for Christmas" anyway? 

We think it's any scent that gets you in that Christmas spirit, that comforts, uplifts and ads a touch of magic. This year we've launched a brand new scent, Ponderosa Pine, which features a slew of pine and fir essential oils for that real-deal Christmas tree scent. The aroma has filled the workshop lately and it definitely brings Santa's elves energy.  

Pine not your thing? You don't have to go literal! We also think anything spicy and warm works wonderfully this time of year. Our new Pumpkin candle is a rootsy take on the classic pumpkin spice scented candle, complete with essential oils like cinnamon, cardamom and clove. Fabulously grounding, comforting and inviting Thanksgiving through Christmas and during the quiet, cozy moments in between.

Last, but not least, we think it's important to say that holiday spirit is about seeking and sharing joy, so if a particular scented candle makes you feel merry and bright, then it's a scented candle for Christmas, baby! For us, that includes our admittedly summery, citrusy Paloma. It just has that twinkle to it and always makes us smile. 

How to use scented candles in holiday hosting:

• Light a scented candle in your entryway for a little added glow and a hit of festive fragrance as guests arrive. 
• Having a scented candle going in the restroom is a must during large, lengthy parties where there might be cases of back to back use. 
• Don't overdo it, especially in close proximity to food! We recommend burning pure beeswax at the dinner table. Its all-natural, subtle, honeyed aroma pairs well with food and wine. 

Ultimately, scented candles have a lot to offer the holidays, whether it's adding cozy glow of a dark winter's eve, or establishing the signature fragrance that will come to remind your near and dear of good times at your place, year in and year out.
